The oscars of the gaming industry was well underway just a mere week ago, where the very best of the best in the online casino world could showcase their products, and be judged on their casinos. The International Gaming awards are something that we really look forward to, it’s the perfect chance for online casinos to compete, and be recognised for their top casino assets. Whether it being the best mobile casino, software supplier of the year, this is the day in where all of that will be decided and judged by the judges at the International Gaming Awards. Just like the Oscars, this is of course a black tie event where attendees are expected to wear their very best attire, where they will be given a glass of champagne upon arrival, with canapes and appetizers being offered. But since we didn’t get to attend, it’s only making us hungry by talking about canapes and I am sure you can all agree, what you are here for is to find out what actually went down at the IGA’s!

All of the top online casinos in which we know and love such as LeoVegas, Cherry, Mr Green and so on, were present at this glamorous event, and they brought their game faces too. Along with many of the best casino games providers such as Microgaming, Play’n Go and Yggdrasil. Who wouldn’t want to rub shoulders with the stars of the online casino industry, whether it being old or new casino sites? This was definitely the event of the year, and even though the year 2018 has just pretty much only just started, it’s not hard to see that we can expect it to continue getting better and better.
The International Gaming Awards took place on the 5th of February 2018, at Grosvenor House in London. This was the 11th International Gaming Awards, and it always seems to improve each and every year, not only with the nominations and awards, but also with the amount of guests and clients from the casino gaming world.

The moment you have all been waiting for, the cherry on the IGA cake! It’s officially time to find out who the winners of the International Gaming Awards for 2018 were. There were many various different categories, so what we will do here, is just list the providers, and casinos which we all know and love and are on our list of best online casinos because let’s face it...who cares about the rest?! Kicking it off, was an award going to the one and only Microgaming who bagged themself the iGaming Software Supplier of the year award, another favourite of ours is the Swedish company Yggdrasil Gaming who won Innovator Supplier of the year, LeoVegas casino won one of the best awards of the night which was Live Casino of the Year! It doesn’t come as a surprise though considering how well thought out and popular their Live casino games are, but the best part about it is that LeoVegas is usually the one bagging the mobile awards for their mobile casino, so this must mean the game is changing and they are now getting recognition for their Live Casino also! Well done LeoVegas.

On the topic of mobile casino, Cherry casino were the winners of the Mobile Operator award this year. Slot Provider of the year went to Play’n Go who have just recently come out with some fantastic slots which were made with mobile casino players in mind such as Planet Fortune, so that doesn’t come as a surprise that they managed to win the Mobile Operator award. The gentleman of the hour Mr Green walked away with the Socially Responsible Online award from the IGA’s, and lastly, ComeOn casino won the Sports Betting Operator award. All in all this ceremony in our opinion definitely beats the Oscars by a mile, imagine being surrounded by all of these fantastic casino games providers and casino clients! These are the masterminds behind all of our favourite games, and top rated casinos, it would have been an absolute pleasure to rub shoulders with them.
