888 Holdings has appointed Yariv Dafna as the group’s new chief financial officer as it builds to build on impressive recent growth figures.

The Israeli firm beat expectations by reporting that daily revenue increased by 34% year-on-year during the first half of 2020.

That followed a robust performance in 2019, during which B2C revenue shot up by 10.7%. Casino accounts for the bulk of 888 Holdings’ operations, although it is gaining traction within the sports betting sector.

Aviad Kobrine has helped to spearhead the firm’s growth during 15 years as chief financial officer, but he announced his intention to step down in January.

He will now hand over the reins to Dafna, who joins from Telit Communications, where he served as finance director and president. He previously worked for Dai Telecom, and began his career as an audit manager at Deloitte.
