Gambling is usually known as a bit of a ‘taboo’ term for some people, but I think that it only sounds taboo because there is not enough people who know what the world of gambling really is, or what it entails. When I looked up the pure definition of the word gambling, I found that it has two definitions. One of them being; ‘play games of chance for money; bet.’ and the other one being ‘take risky action in the hope of a desired result’.

Yes, it can be risky, but then again risky is also dependant on the amount of money, and what you as a person actually define as risky. Would it be risky to put down £1 on one of our favourite casino games? For most of us we would just shrug it off if we didn’t win anything since it was only one pound, however if it were £1000, then yes I suppose that is a lot more risky.
