LeoVegas Launches Tiger Sportsbook in the UK Across Three Brands

Published by Mandy Cohen, 11 August 2026

LeoVegas Group rolled out its proprietary sportsbook platform, Tiger, in the UK on 6 August 2026, making it available across BetMGM, LeoVegas, and BetUK. The move marks the group's clearest step yet toward cutting the cord with third-party sportsbook suppliers.

What's Under the Hood

Tiger runs on the Tipico US platform, which LeoVegas acquired back in 2024 — picking up not just the tech but the management and trading teams that came with it. The UK launch follows earlier rollouts in Denmark (July 2025), Brazil (January 2026), and Sweden (June 2026), so the platform has had some road-testing before landing on British shores.

Headline features include enhanced odds boosts, partial cash-out, and a "flex combi" product for flexible combination bets. None of these are individually groundbreaking, but having them on proprietary rails means LeoVegas can iterate without waiting for a third party to schedule an update sometime next quarter.

Why It Matters

LeoVegas previously relied on Kambi for its sportsbook technology — a partnership that technically runs until 2027 and reportedly remains in place for other markets or legacy products. Building in-house is the fashionable move right now across the industry, and the logic is straightforward: owning the tech means faster feature deployment, better margin control, and no supplier sitting between you and the product roadmap.

Adrian Vella, LeoVegas's Chief Product and Technology Officer, called it "one of the most significant moments in our two-year journey to build a world-class, proprietary Sportsbook." James Derbyshire, Sports Director for UK & Ireland, added that it's "another huge milestone." Two executives, two superlatives — corporate comms doing exactly what you'd expect.

Worth noting: this Tiger sportsbook is exclusive to the LeoVegas Group's UK brands and has no connection to the US BetMGM joint venture with Entain. Different beast entirely.

Whether the proprietary switch delivers a noticeably better experience for punters remains to be seen, but the direction of travel is clear. LeoVegas would rather build than rent.
