Microgaming all ready to release nostalgic Village People slot game!

Nostalgia at its finest, Microgaming is set to release a brand new slot game, but get this...the theme of this game is the Village People! If you’re above the age of 20 then you would most likely be aware of who they are, and if you don’t know then it’s time to get to know because this will be an absolute blast from the past.

The Village People are a legendary disco group formed in the 70’s and blasted their hits throughout the late 80’s and 90’s. One of their most famous and continuously played songs is of course YMCA where the whole world and his dog knows the dance moves so swing your hands in the air and start singing the YMCA as Microgaming may have the game of the year under their belt, but this game will be releasing in 2019 so we have a few months to wait.

Microgaming came out with this breaking news just last week as they have now finalised an exclusive new licensing deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment. The Village People slot game will be released in early 2019 on desktop and mobile online casinos where the game will reportedly feature many of the well-known classic hits such as YMCA, Macho Man, and of course Go West. These were some of the hits which took this 70’s band to the next level and one of the reasons why they are a piece of sentimental nostalgic gold also known as the kings of the disco era.

The Village People slot game will be listed in Microgaming’s portfolio sitting with their previous brand slots such as Halloween and Jurassic World however this is not a movie themed slot game but a blast from the past music slot game. The game will feature the iconic ‘characters’ such as the biker, the cowboy and the sailor on your reels where they will be taking players back to the 70’s to win some fantastic cash prizes and trigger in-game features. We do not yet know exactly what sort of in-game features we can expect but coming from a massive company such as Microgaming we can expect them to be bloody great!

Both ITV Studios and Microgaming very much look forward to what is to come with this new title in the upcoming year, and we have to admit this is currently one of the best pieces of news that we could have wished for mid-2018.
