The hot and the not - EGR B2B Award winners for casino game providers!

The EGR B2B awards recently just came to a close on the 20th of June 2018, taking place prestige Hurlingham Club in London with many of our top casino providers being at the fateful hands of the EGR judges. There has been a lot of anticipation and excitement to see who the winners of each category were, with the likes of Play’n Go, NetEnt, Yggdrasil Gaming, and many more fabulous game providers being involved. It’s safe to say that the winners were very well deserving of the awards that they took home proudly. We will take a look at who won what, and what sort of awards our favourite casino game providers went home with at the event of the year!

NetEnt were one of the lucky winners of an EGR B2B award, going away with the Innovation in Mobile category. This was a very big triumph for NetEnt, especially being in the mobile category, they have worked so hard this year. Despite their year starting out with a few hiccups in the road with the changing of CEO, and what have you, but as always they managed to get back up on their feet and we never doubted them for a second! The Innovation in Mobile Award rewarded them for the quality of their mobile offering, since being able to play on mobile casinos is becoming even more popular, the slot games must keep with it and be just as playable on mobile devices as they are on desktop.

The judges stated that NetEnt were a success in this category due to their excellent product development, deliverability and performance, and their understanding of what customers need and want in a game to maximise the game-play experience. So far this year NetEnt has done a fantastic job at innovation, they created the first ever Sports Betting Widget, added Live Sports Roulette, and have some really amazing promotions going on for the World Cup.

These are just some of the many reasons why NetEnt deserved to walk away with this brilliant award. The CEO of NetEnt Therese Hillman said a few words about their achievement: “ It is a great honour for us to be voted by the industry as the most innovative mobile supplier. This is reward for the hard work every person in our team has put in over the last year, and we will be determined to be even more successful at next year’s awards.”

As well as NetEnts success, other providers we know and love walked away with some fantastic awards. Yggdrasil Gaming took home the award for Innovation in RNG Casino Software, which definitely did not come as a surprise to us considering their brand new Sonya Blackjack game which uses their in-house REDUX engine. Last year Yggdrasil stole the spotlight with their casino slots winning the award for Slot Provider of the Year, but this year their new achievement was their incredible REDUX engine and it shined through to the judges.

The CEO of Yggdrasil Fredrik Elmqvist said a few words “ As Yggdrasil continues to grow, we remain completely focused on delivering creativity and innovation to all of our partners. Our recent table games and bingo launches, coupled with programmes such as our semi-open platform YGS Masters, show we will never stand still. I am immensely proud that the hard work of every single Yggdrasilian is once again being recognised.”

Another one of our favourites, Play’n Go were awarded with the Slot Provider of the Year Award. This is a very big achievement in the EGR B2B Awards but they managed to beat all competition, and we are so thrilled for Play’n Go to have earned this award. There have been some really excellent slot games released this year from Play’n Go, including Viking Runecraft, and Golden Colts, so this award definitely went to a deserving home.

What an incredible year at the B2B Awards, and what amazing awards to have won. This just goes to show that when you put in the hard work, it can all pay off in the finest way.
