Virtual Reality in UK online casinos? What do you think about it?

The future is becoming more and more technologically advanced, and there’s no sign that it will come to a stop any time soon. But is this considered a bad thing? Right now I think i’d say no, however perhaps there will be a time when we start to feel a little bit fed up of having to continuously wear that clunky headgear, or just feel that we need to take a break from all of this technology. However, it does seem rather likely that there will be another type of VR eye wear available in the near future, possibly even a contact lense. Now that would be a good idea, maybe I am onto something here.
We have had quite an array of prototypes, and test devices of Virtual Reality headsets going on for quite some time, however it wasn’t really until 2016 when things started to truly leap and actually become a ‘thing’. 2016 was a big year for VR, and 2017 was an even bigger year, especially in the casino market as NetEnt made the announcement that they will create one of our all time favourite video slot games ‘Gonzo’s Quest’ in virtual Reality form. This was a huge announcement, and created a massive amount of excitement for NetEnt fans, and us online casino fans in general. 2017 became the year of Virtual Reality for us, and we could not wait to be able to play a video slot for real money on all of our best UK casino sites.
Why does virtual reality seem better? I think to answer this question is the fact that casino players who only like to play online, sometimes feel as though they are not getting the full-on casino atmosphere compared to those who prefer playing in land based casinos. Yes, there are Live Casinos currently available to play online, however it is still not the same as Virtual Reality, and the pure VR experience. Now, I cannot say that I have experienced VR myself, but I have seen many videos of people experiencing it and there’s nothing more I can say than...incredible. I can’t imagine how much better it must be to actually try it out for real. Im guessing it just feels more ‘real’, can you imagine having the surroundings of the slot game you’re playing? For example, Dracula video slot, I’m pretty sure that would include bats jumping out at you and would be quite scary but of course very exciting. And for other games such as Starburst, I think that would be rather beautiful to see in VR with all of the stars surrounding you, it will probably feel like you’re sitting on a planet. Marvelous!
I do firmly believe that VR, and the future of VR will be an immensely positive element throughout the online casino world, for players who prefer to stay at home whilst having a few spins on their top online slots, and also for those of us who enjoy slots however are also partial to Live Casino games such as Roulette, Blackjack, Craps and other casino games. There’s no limit to what the future will bring us in regards to technology, if you think about it, almost every single month there has been a new breakthrough, a new design, and a new outlook. So who’s to say where we will be playing online casino in the future?
