William Hill doesn’t need any further introductions, it is a gambling institution both online and on the street, but since the recent merge with Mr Green their casino offering has improved dramatically. Alongside the Playtech-powered casino and live casino there is an equally great, if not even greater, online casino offering waiting under the Vegas and Games tabs.
William Hill’s online product for a long time felt a bit antiquated but things has changed for the better in recent years. There casino site runs extremely smooth, there are great apps available for download and it is evident that William Hill plan to be in business to at least see themselves as centenarians (which will happen 2034 by the way).
Betting, poker, bingo and casino - Willam Hill has it all!
Many will chose William Hill for their great odds and sports offering, but anyone dabbling once in a while with casino games won’t be disappointed. As mentioned in the introduction of our review, William Hill casino is three casinos in one, with all the amazing games from Playtech that are complemented nicely by the Vegas and Games tabs from premium providers like Microgaming, NetEnt and Play’n GO. The categorisation is a bit confusing at first, but the separations also have its perks, like a welcome bonus for each tab.
In addition WH also offer online poker and bingo, which makes them a one-stop-shop for all your online gambling needs.
William Hill Casino
£300 + 50 Bonus Spins
100% up to £300
+ 50 Spins
Minimum deposit: £10. Optimal deposit: £300. Spin value: £0.10. Maximum redeemable £4000 from bonus, £1000 from free spins.
William Hill uses a kind of sub-account system where you have a main balance that is used to buy in to the different gambling segments. This is slightly inconvenient but there is also an upside, and that is that you can get several welcome bonuses! We will only cover the Playtech bonuses, which can be found under the Casino and Live Casino tab respectively, the rest of the bonuses (Vegas, Sports, and Poker) we leave for you to discover on your own.
Wager your buy in to unlock 50 bonus spins
The WH bonus found under the ‘Casino’ tab is a 100% match on your first deposit up to a hefty £3000. Not bad considering that the 40x wagering requirement only applies to the bonus amount. Unfortunately deposits above the £300 are not eligible for this bonus which means it is not possible to take advantage of a bigger deposit for some extra leeway in order to fulfil the wagering req. Another point that we see as a downside is the 7 days expiry which also is a bit steep. Other than this there is not much more to say about this bonus, but as always it is advisable to consult the full terms and conditions before you opt in.
There are also 50 bonus spins that will be made available once the above matched deposit bonus has been cleared. The free rounds come with a 35x wagering reqirement (applied to winnings) and can be played on a selection of great slot games - too many to list here.
For the Live Casino enthusiasts out there we are happy to inform you that there is a first deposit bonus available exclusively for live play. It comes in the form of a 100% match up to £100. Attached is a 70x wagering requirement.
Note that the game restrictions in the full terms and conditions of this bonus inlcudes most variants of live blackjack and that roulette is the way to go if you want to be sure that your stake is count in full towards the wagering requirement. Wins made with the bonus funds are also capped at £5000 which is worth noting. The usual betting restrictions also applies, like not making wagers on both red and black.
Full terms are available at William Hill and opt-in is required (done with a click upon first deposit).
There is no lack of games at William Hill but as already touched upon in this review the sorting options are not the greatest, but there are evidence pointing at that this is something they are working on with at least some good filter options under each tab dedicated to casino games and slots. The several tabs can be quickly summarised like this:
The game selection at William Hill is as confusing as it is impressive. Great variety but a bit hard to know what is found where. It takes a bit of time to get accustomed to but it is also a great place to discover hidden gems that are otherwise stashed away far down in more conventional online casino lobbies.
