Arabian Nights

Arabian Nights from NetEnt is one of the swedish game studios many progressive jackpot slots. You are most likely aware of the other jackpot slot games from this leading provider and Arabian Nights is a superb addition. It can't really compete with the likes of Mega Fortune or Hall of Gods, but there’s no doubt that it still offers plenty of excitement. The graphics do unfortunately feel a little bit dated, and the game mechanics are almost too simplistic, however it does still work. This on the other hand makes it easy ta grasp, and the main draw of the game, as with every other jackpot slots, is of course the potentially life changing payouts. As a rule of thumb, we would stay away from this slot unless the jackpot has reached levels of £200,000 or more and instead focus on newer more popular jackpot games like the ones mentioned above. See our jackpot section (that you easily reach from the main menu) for current jackpot standings and alternatives to this somewhat mediocre video slot.

This is how you play Arabian Nights

Arabian Night is a real classic slot machine with 5 reels and 3 rows. As we mentioned, yes the symbols and whole look and feel of the game is a little dated and boring looking, but we can live with the fact that this is not the best creation by NetEnt. In Arabian Nights you will only find the two regular bonus functions, the Wild and of course the Scatter In addition to this you will also find an enormous jackpot. The settings are few, and this is exactly what makes this slot stand out from the rest. This is a slot for those of us that do not want to play slots which have many distracting and flashing elements for example wandering wilds or random symbols that can appear out of nowhere. This is a slot for those of us that just want a basic slot game to enjoy, with the addition of perhaps winning a nice big chunky jackpot prize.

Adjusting Bets

Nothing strange here. Both bet levels and coin value are preset and cannot be changed. You select how many paylines you want, and then you spin the reels manually. There is a button to select your maximum bet, but there is no auto play. This is definitely an old school feeling game! Arabian Nights has since its launch a couple of years ago, been tweaked in some minor ways in order to accommodate to changing casino conditions. Bet levels have been disabled, and coin value has been set at £0.5 so that the only way to change your bet size is by deciding on how many of the 10 paylines you want to play on. This narrows the span quite significantly, and also limits the potential wins along with the growth rate of the jackpot. Your bet size with these parameters then results in a range from £0.5 to £5.

The Symbols

The values of the symbols are, in descending order: The scimitar, the crackowes, the Bedouin tent, the Fez, the Camel and then the symbols K, Q, J, 10 and 9. In addition to this, there is a magic lamp which symbolizes the Scatter symbol, the main Arabian Prince character symbolizing the Wild, and finally the beautiful jeweled lamp which symbolizes the Scatter symbol and also triggers the Bonus game.

Free Spins Bonus

Three or more scatters gives 15 free spins. All the wins on Free Spins, apart from the jackpot, will be doubled three times, and a Scatter pays the bet multiplied with the Multiplier. Getting Wilds will double all of the wins that you have, except if there are only Wilds on the payline. Five Wilds will give the jackpot if you manage to play on ten paylines. If not, the win will be 10,000 coins. Both Wilds and Scatters will give wins on only two symbols, where you normally would need three symbols to win. On a Bonus win, the symbols does not need to be on the payline, but can be anywhere on the screen.

Arabian Nights is unfortunately not available to play on your mobile device at the moment. The only progressive jackpot games from NetEnt that you are able to play from your handheld device are Mega Fortune and Mega Fortune Dreams. But other than this, we can’t really complain too much about the game-play and the whole atmosphere of the slot. It does everything it says it will do, and jackpot games are always fun because you can see them adding up, and getting bigger and bigger with every spin you, or other players make. If you enjoy playing jackpot games then it’s worth giving Arabian Nights a go, and if you are a NetEnt fan we can understand that you may feel a little bit disappointed with the graphics, however it was made to feel old-school and have that retro charm.
